Same difference.

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit (The Beatitudes #1)
There is a blur between the different religious orders when it comes to their endgame which is essentially the same - saving souls through the Gospel and the Church. There is however a clear distinction on how this end is accomplished. St. Francis believed and lived the first Beatitude. To be "poor in spirit" is at the center of his spirituality. Franciscans try to live this radical selflessness in the world by putting flesh on the Word. Their actions are their prayer. This emphasis is not like the Dominican Order of Preachers or the teaching order of the Jesuits or even the monasticism of the Benedictines. It is an order based on the radical actions of its founder. So hug a leper! JMJ. Mick
