Safety in numbers.

The best spiritual advisers are usually members of the clergy and traditionally their main qualification was personal holiness. With this in mind, it might be easier to find an adviser than was previously thought. My own experience in SFO formation has verified this. I have been surrounded by individual holy people each with their own spiritual strengths and the surprising thing is their sheer numbers provide a kind of "safety net" to us on the journey. Along with family members this extended Franciscan family can provide the guidance anyone might need to be converted every day. All you have to do is be open to the ordinary people and actions in your life and give thanks. JMJ. Mick
