My friend Bill died last Wednesday. During the wake I found it surprisingly easy to remember numerous spiritual stories from this holy man's life. Bill would go to daily Mass and pray the rosary every morning. His influence on my life came from the little things he did as a child of Christ. Prayer was Bill's specialty, he taught me the
"heroic act of charity" which directs all acts of prayer and indulgences to the souls in purgatory. Nothing is saved for yourself to limit your own time of
purgation. That is why Bill was heroic. He gave every grace due him to the "Church Suffering". Through all those
little acts came
a
huge life of redemptive sacrifice. Now Bill needs our heroism and God's mercy. Rest in peace Bill.
