... in the mud and the blood and the beer.

Johnny Cash
Sometimes serving only for the glory of God can entail a fight that resembles Johnny Cash's song "A Boy named Sue". In this song a boy who is deliberately named Sue wishes to find the father that left his mother and him, gave him that girly name, and pay him back for the indignity. When Sue finds his father in a saloon he proceeds to settle the score but finds out that his father knew, yes in a convoluted way, what his son needed to survive in this unforgiving world. Does this story sound familiar? The Father knows hearts must be changed, attitudes must go, and most importantly, real change, or conversion, is painful. Pain almost always guarantees change especially after rolling in the mud, the blood, and the beer of this life. It changes those who can see things as they truly are and not simply what they seem to be. JMJ. Mick, SFO
