Who would have thunk it!

An epiphany is a sudden intuitive perception of or insight into the essential meaning of something. The Magi had an epiphany on the birth of the Messiah triggered by the Star of Bethlehem. I imagine that's how they they got the name Wise Men. You must have wisdom to recognize the connection of a star to the Messiah in the first place. Recently I discovered a website (bethlehemstar.net) that makes a convincing scientific case for the star's existence.
Modern astronomical software can accurately show how the night sky was configured on any particular date.  Many astronomers considered the star a myth, but using software based on Kepler's Law while noting Matthew's gospel (ch.2) references, we may be able to pinpoint Jesus' actual birthday. Could empirical science, with its obvious limitations, and revelation, stumble on a hidden facet of divine providence? Is it possible that God decided to enter human history at a particular time when something special was happening in the night sky? JMJ. Mick
